The Family

So, families are weird and for some reason, each of us think we have, like, the worst family ever, but once you really look into other people’s families you realize yours is really not that sucky haha

I’ve always loved my family very much as it is obvious, but I feel like I love’em more since I moved here--you know what they say…you never know what you got until it’s gone. My family is really a very small one, my grandma had only 7 kids, and I say “only” because it’s few comparing how many children people used to have back in that time. Anyways, that gives me a grand total of 6 aunts and uncles and 9 cousins whom I’d like to tell you a bit about. Basically, my family is formed by: Grandma María, Grandpa Teófilo, aunt Lupe, uncle Mario, mom Angie, uncle Raúl, aunt Norma, uncle Héctor, aunt Elizabeth; cousins: Iván, Jessica, Daniel, Manuel, Fernanda, Andrea, Montserrat, Wendy, Jonathan, sister Gisela and me.

Note: They're shown with NO particular order--don't take it personal, mom)

Grandma - Bit obsessive, hysteric, driven, kinda distant but still nice, great cook, incredibly intelligent, cultured, funny at times, stubborn, proud, hard-working…not a typical Grammy but still a lovable and admirable one!

Grandpa – Very funny, lazy, talented *with the guitar*, nice, sometimes even cool, excellent handy-man, stubborn, loves soccer and beer and most of the times is pretty cool.

Aunt Lupe – This is a tough one; she’s very special and by that I mean a high-maintenance lady. She is hysteric, cultured, intelligent, stubborn, not funny, hard-working, and cold, sometimes even way too mean to the ones she loves the most.

Uncle Mario – Definitely a tough guy, smart, not too funny, nice, hard-working, a family guy after a few bumps, he’s too much into ghosts and spirits and stuff like that. He used to be really h

Mom (Angie) – Well, I do have a lot of things to say about this one here haha I’m not saying this just because she’s my mom but she is completely amazing, definitely a woman to look up to, very intelligent, rarely funny, sometimes too cool to be true, very nice, loving, stubborn, caring, gossiping, whiny, proud, strong, cultured, may be annoying, sometimes unjust regarding me and my sis, understanding, extremely generous, sometimes more open-minded than I wish, reached by Alz-Heimer haha, definitely a spoiler--she’s THE mom!

Uncle Raúl – Not much to say about this one. He’s lazy, not too brilliant, cool and nice at times, especially when younger, stubborn, and awfully irresponsible. Not the best to make decisions, not funny and not reliable at all!

Aunt Norma – This is the good one hehe She’s totally cool, smart, very funny, loving, caring, immature at times, open-minded, a good mom, also a spoiler, likes good music *except for Kenny G*, flirty-flirty, gossiping, loud, generous--she’s THE aunty!

Uncle Héctor – The younger of the guys, funny in his own way, kind of a dumb-ass, cool, talented *with the guitar as well*, nice once in a blue moon, not the smartest and a bit of a bully.

Aunt Elizabeth – Funny, unintentionally most of the times thou; not too bright, kinda irresponsible, nice, lazy, loving, silly, a total flirt, she’s dated half Mexico City, a drama queen, an oddly interesting human being, a cool aunt--used to look up to her…when I was a little naïve girl and know nothing.

Iván – Lonely, the older cousin, used to stick up for the rest of us and protect us girls from bullies, kinda funny, very smart, talented *some of his drawings are amazing*, irresponsible, weak, a ladies man, a cool guy, nice, loving, caring, immature, stubborn, so silly at times, could become either a great writer or artist with paints and stuff.

Jessica – Pretty cool, smart, so funny, a rebel, understanding, silly, good secret-keeper, stubborn, great taste in music, reliable, spoiled, extraordinarily lazy, often grounded, crazy, friendly and outgoing, my pupil--she kicks ass!

Daniel – Not too funny, annoying, loving, intelligent, cool, stubborn, needy, kind, cute, caring and mean sometimes.

Manuel – Amazingly clever, way too cute, so loving and lovable, really funny, kind of annoying, a little rebel, spoiled, whiny, funny dancer for an 8-year-old, a crying baby, generous--totally love him, he rocks!!

Fernanda – A real cutie, lovable, very intelligent, loud, and super funny--I adore her!

Andrea – Barely know her, smart, kinda mean, not funny, a bit selfish, spoiled, and nice…to some people.

Montserrat, Wendy and Jonathan – These 3 kids aren’t the same age but they act as if they were. They all are shy, nice, loving, tender, good kids in general.

Gisela – Extremely funny…she’s, like, funniest sister ever, intelligent, understanding, sharp, annoying, silly, great secret-keeper, open-minded, too generous, lazy, a mess, loving, pretty cool, the nicest…sometimes, an amazing friend, very matured, obsessed, usually has a good taste in music, sarcastic, loves bugging people, stubborn, tender, couldn’t have asked for a better sister--she kicks ass big time, she’s THE sis!

Aunt Ara – Funny, cool, hard-working, dependant, harsh at times, kind of old-fashion, supportive, a good person regardless the huge mistakes she’s made in her life--towards other people, that is.

Carlos – Quiet, very nice, cool, sweet, great musical taste, sincere, gentle, loving, caring, kind and always well-intended.

Montse – Nice, weird, cool, funny at times, lazy, tender, tough, honest and loving.
